Victoria Ahmadizadeh Melendez is a Philadelphia-based artist, fabricator and educator who has been blowing glass for over 13 years. She holds a BFA in Glass from Tyler School of Art and Architecture (2010) as well an an MFA in Craft/Material Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University (2016) and has traveled nationally to continue her studies in the material at places like The Pilchuck Glass School, Penland School of Crafts, and The Studio of the Corning Museum of Glass. She is interested in applying unique textures and luscious, jewel-toned colors to her glass pieces as well as exploring ways to give a contemporary update to historical forms. Victoria hopes that her work will bring moments of creative inspiration and calm reflection to the home.
